On the thread of very sexy people who are also great cooks, and who may or may not be dateless, an issue has come up that demands the attention of Foo as a whole:

Raisins: love them or hate them?

Please vote and express your innermost thoughts about raisins.

Raisins are great by themselves or in oatmeal cookies but nowhere else.

I like raisins as long as they're The California Raisins. :innocent:

Raisins = Meh.

I like them well enough to not pick them out of foods, but it's not like I'll be saying, "Hot damn! Raisins!" anytime soon.

Precisely. I consider myself Switzerland in this war.

Raisins belong in dishes - like rice pudding or bread pudding or curries. Take a bite and then you suddenly have this warm sweet thing pop in your mouth like biting down on a tick that's freshly engorged with blood.

Raisins in muesli is just wrong. Cookies are fine though. I'll also eat them alone or with nuts. Just not mixed with my cereal... :)

I voted hate em. I don't mind eating just raisins once in a while (like once or twice a year). However, I WILL NOT eat a cooked raisin. YUCK! :twitchy:

Grapes are great before they become raisins, and after they become wine.

Raisins are good but prunes are better! You can make alcoholic beverages from wither by the way!:D

Raisins are bad for dogs. Not that I'm saying I'm a dog or anything.

I voted for raisin hate.

I hate cooked raisins especially in puddings. Actually, I'm not a big fan of puddings either. But cooked, swollen raisins make me want to puke. Ick!
