We are supposed to have good weather next week also. I am trying to see if I can get outside and ride any of those days. I would love to do a 40 mile loop again, instead of riding my rollers and watching DVD's

BUT the gym has no headwind and it tried to kick my butt going! pose to be even nicer tommrow here was 49 today going to mid 50's tommrow :O) This is FANTASTIC
I hope everyone can get out there I am so glad winter as we have known it is about over for this yr .. Going to do 40 mile loop tommrow I think :O)
Stopped at my LBS Al Petri And Son's in Lincoln Park Mi and they were doing a brisk business on new bikes and parts . !!! Things look good in the bike world in this neck a the woods :O)

Me too!! Got out for a quick 14 miles. Temp's were in the low 50's. A decent headwind on the return, but there usually is down on the river trail. Did some hill repeats at the end to shake the legs up. Felt great doing them, so I was very happy.
Of course I also stopped at the LBS on the way home. Wondering how will all these nice new shiny bikes fit into my car. Oh well, one can dream! I ended up buying a new rear blinky for the early spring after work club rides. Daylight gets a little sketchy that last 15 - 30 minutes, so I like that little extra warning. Got a couple spare tubes also. Just can't walk out without dropping some bucks. I just look at it as doing my part to help the economy.
Keep this weather coming,
Denny
Glad you had a good day, and proud of you for sticking with the gym all winter! :thumb:

We've been pretty lucky here in N. Texas with a mild, dry winter. However, it's been cold any rainy for the past week or so and it's driving me CRAZY! Got a new bike that I've only managed to put about 40 miles on.
Don't know how you guys and gals up north do it.
Yes indeed, a fine day for a ride! I did 11 miles then I ended early due to back spasms. Doh, it was my own fault. I rode out into the wind and when I made the turn back my backside caught the wind and I got that froggy feeling. Click click, couple shifts and I was off to the races (relatively speaking of course). Decided to see how fast I could get the Giant Sedona "comfort" bike. I got up to 24mps and got a rhythm going, came up over a small rise got up and gave the final push to take her to 29.5mph for a couple 100 yards. Then I down shifted and started to spin a bit and ride out the speed. Cruised the last 4 miles significantly slower. The sprint was likely 1.5 miles or so, but it felt great. Until the back spasm snapped me back to reality. It was still fun! I can't wait to get my Sequoia Elite!
Hope everyone that rode had a blast!
I'm Off to ice my back.
