My biggest problem so far with riding fixed gear is I get pedal strikes, a lot. The current frame I have is just an old schwinn by my crude measures it has a bottom bracket drop of 7.62cm. I am currently thinking about getting the IRO Angus, which has a drop of 5cm. Are there any other frames in that quality/price range, with equal (or less) bottom bracket drop that I might want to consider?

How long are your crank arms? Shorter crank arms are a lot cheaper than a new frame.

You claim that your measurements are crude but you give a measurement to three significant figures. This doesn't make sense. Also, was the frame designed for 27" wheels and are you now using 700c wheels? The would lower the bottom bracket a bit.

3in = 7.62cm Does it make more sense now, with only one significant figure? I said crude because i measured it with a tape measure, not anything very precise. Could possibly be designed for 27" wheels, I don't think it is but I am ignorant about 27" wheels. Any opinions on frame advise (what I made this thread for) would be very appreciated. :)
