Fifty Plus (50+) - Happy Pi Day

Wishing everyone here a transcendentally good Pi Day (March 14, or 3-14 in the American form of numeric dates).

(Obligatory bicycling content: To set your Sigma cyclocomputer for your wheel and tire size, stand your front wheel up and measure its height (diameter) in millimeters. Multiply the resulting measurement by pi (3.1416 is an adequate approximation), and enter the result in the settings menu for your computer. This also works with some other brands of cyclocomputers.)

Holy Pi! Almost forgot! Gotta go out later and get some Pi/Pie!:D

Bicycling content: Will be going out for a ride later - after I finish a critique of a qualitative nursing research article for a class. I will have earned pie after the ride and the homework. By the way, there is some connection between pi and my wheels.

:notamused:Major Bummer, we forgot today was Pi-Day, we got in a short ride (20 miles), I got all jazzed about getting a new "trick" suspension seat post for my Jamis MTB, (well at least a step above the normal one you see on Comfort Bikes), creating the worlds cheapest "Softail" MTB and totally spaced getting "PIE", I'm totally ashamed:o ARRRRRUGH!

...and as we all know, Pi R ROUND, cake R Squared.

Just a short (10 mile) ride today so my reward was a small mince pie ala pi.

We had a great Pi day!

Had some relatives come to visit us for a couple of days. My brother-in-law and I set out to do some grocery shopping and pick up a locally made pie from Mininoe's Market. Unfortunately, Mininoe's was right on the St Patrick's parade route. Took a couple of tries and a longer than planned walk but were successful in obtaining a delicious Dutch Apple. Also attending were my daughter (who is moving to Seattle) and her 3 children. The kids opted for their ala mode with nothing under it so I have the last piece to eat sometime today.

...and as we all know, Pi R ROUND, cake R Squared.

You've obviously never ridden on Wisconsin's Elroy to Sparta trail or you'd know better. There's an establishment near the trail called "Pie-R-Squared". They serve excellent square pies cut into 8 wedges.
