Classic & Vintage - 72 Super Course - almost ready

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Its almost done and ready to ride, but it looked so nice after I did the handlebars today that I just had to show it off. I'm ordering the stuff to build new wheels today, so should be only a week or two and i'll be rockin and rollin :thumb:
The paint color doesn't photograph well except in natural light so picture it a few shades darker...its creme.
Its got Nitto Noodle Bars, Weinmann vainquer 999 brakes, cane creek aero levers, repro decals from the aussie dude on ebay, Suntour Cyclone front and rear derailleurs, and the wheels will be 700c Sun CR-18 on Normandy hubs. Its my first restoration project, I'm pretty happy with it.

Very sweet!! Love the white and honey Brooks! I need to get my 71 Super Course going.,,,,BD
The half-chrome stays look great, too. The Super Course is an economical all-time classic.
thanks guys :D
the fork on there is actually a replacement fork that was all chrome originally....it was on the bike when i bought it. When I had it painted I had them paint over the chrome on the top half :p shhhh don't tell
I got the brake cables run, still gotta run the shifter cables and get a new chain and its ON!

Nice. The chrome stays look good, and the fork. The 'creme color sounds good too. The B-17 will darken considerably in about six months if you ride it a lot, then it'll really swing with that 'creme color. :D
When you get the new chain be sure not to cut it too short.
Nice bike. Love it and ride it.

Beautiful S.C.!!!!
Looks great. The front brake pads are installed backwards.
I know...They are too long and hit the fork if I turn em around rightways
yep those are the VO Elkhide wraps..they feel really nice, I can't wait to ride it. those are the "Macchiato" color which V/O claims is the best match for Brooks "Honey". I tend to agreem I think the "Espresso" elkhide would have been a little darker than I was looking for. Those Wheels/Tires are just on there for the picture, I am just about to order the parts to build the wheels for it. its gonna be 700c.
