Sooo here is the situation.
After 3 years on a Fuji track that is too small for me (56, should be a 59 or 60) I am going to get a new frame.
The candidates are...
Custom order Panasonic NJS approved track bike. (Stiff, rigid tight track geometry. Fit to me. Damb sexy.)
Surly Steamroller. (A little more relaxed than the Panasonic. Strong as they get, fits wide tires. Pretty sexy in its own way. Surly customer service has treated me well in the past with my hub)
My riding style is the daily 20km commute through Tokyo traffic and regular weekend 100+km rides. My real love in cycling is to go exploring and getting lost here in Tokyo. It is a big enough city to easily cover a different 100km every week without often hitting the same streets. As well, I regularily do 100+ Km rides with roadies... no I do not wear spandex.
Please help me decide, or help me decide what questions I should be asking myself in making the right decision.
Regards,
drue.
Both are similar in price here in Tokyo.
