Can I replace the the rear cassette with a Sram unit. I want to use a 32 tooth low, but Shimano doesn't offer one for 8 speeds. It's an old Cannondale with down tube shifters. I guess the question is: is the cog spacing compatable?
Thanks

Sram cassettes are Shimano compatible. The rear der is the issue. Can it handle the larger cog?

Thanks DD, I'll probably go to a long cage XT just so there is no issue.
