This report will be a little different, since this was actually the first race that our team hosted. I didn't race due to a little problem with not HTFU'ing (my excuse: I wasn't prepared for the steep climb towards the end).
Got there about an hour before the first race, and I, along with my beautiful girlfriend, manned registration for most of the event. Not that much to do, but enough to see all of the races take place.
Apart from what I expected, organization of the criterium was really, really good. Everything was practically on schedule and there was nothing out of the ordinary to resolve. I think this has been the only race where registration was actually held inside in a nice, relaxing environment. Our team's president and VP (who's on the forums) did a great job running the race.
The race itself was, from what I saw, probably the most technical race of the season. The corners were a bit tougher, since one of them was immediately after a sharp downhill, while the other led into the climb. The climb itself separated EVERY field pretty drastically. With the exception of Men's A and Women's A/B, tons of people were getting pulled. This was the first race that I didn't see Men's A race in unison. Since there was no pace car, the winners of each race were normally those who got up front and could hold it for the first two or three laps.
Overall, it was an awesome day and I look forward to hosting (and maybe even racing) next year's race! We thank everyone here who made it out there, and hope that you guys had fun!
