Hey guys. I'm building a fixie on a budget. I am looking at carbon fiber forks, i find some good brands out there but the steerer tube has already been cut. The fork will go on a merc killo TT.
Is there like an avg height that the steerer is cut, or is it simply up to the individual. Any help will be great, and yes, i did use the search button. Thanks again in advance for your guys help
keep in mind you're going to need a fork with 1" steer tube. and usually people will cut the fork so that it fits them and their frame. some intentionally leave a bit of extra steer tube in case they want to sell the fork later. first, you're going to have to make sure that the steer tube is long enough for your frame. second, keep in mind a short steer tube will have some limitations in terms of how easy it is to adjust stem height.
