What ever it is, it looks tasty.
If you doods partake of the lumpia, you would be able to see into the spirit world. Something like when Homer ate the baking soda from his fridge.

What is it?

Check it. Now you must hunt it down.
Consume it, and you will know peace. And a large badonkadonk, but forget that part.
Later all. I'm off to celebrate National Lumpia Day!

Looks like a little shopping trip is in order. We cooked up the last of our previous batch about 10 days ago.

Oh man, if I'd known that ahead of time, I could have convinced Mr. East Hill to make us some lumpia.
Lumpia are YUMMY*!
*However, they are a lot of work...

I'm down with that. Unless it's got cilantro in it, that stuff makes me projectile vomit over impressive distances.

+1 one, need fresh ground black pepper in that.
San Mig all around for Foo!

Turon is some bomb stuff, too.
No cilantro.
100% fried goodness. Just do it outside or near a good vent.
And ... did you bring us back a sample of your Lumpia Day? Huh?

Thanks, I needed that. :) I learned that phrase when I was in the navy and visiting there, only it had another word to finish the phrase. I believe it was susu. (I never got slapped)
:)

And for the record, lumpia is the best, but poncit is right up there and my wife makes killer stuff. She learned it from a Philipina gal that was our good friend while we were in the navy.
Now that you have reminded me, I need to remind her that she can make it, and then get her to do so. :thumb:

I'm making bistek Tagalog, tonight. Man...good eats. A night w/ family, a good meal, some flowing singletrack, a cold beer. Simple pleasures, really.

I asked the five Filipinos at my station why they had not brought in lumpia for me, and they all claimed that they had never heard of National Lumpia Day :( .
I've decided that I needed to mark it on my calender for next year.

My old lady said that no matter how I prepare it, there are never enough onions. I usually double or triple the amount of onion. She's right. She took our boys out riding and said she could smell it down the street, so she picked up her step.

Oddly, National Lumpia Day falls on Ka_Jun's birthday, East Hill.
Hmmmmmm...cosmic conjunction, or are more nefarious plans afoot?
