Hello all,

I picked up a fairly complete Team Fuji, '84 model. It is really nice shape and it has everything except the BB.

The crankset was the Sugino AS. But I've not been able to find some meaningful specs on the spindle length etc. It is British threaded as I checked it w/some spare cups. I just don't have a selection of spare spindles to get it dialed in.

Does anyone have a Team model with the Sugino crankset who can crack the code?

Best

Steve

Probably something around 112mm (plus/minus 2 mm) spindle length will work. I've got a few Sugino/Suntour BB. PM me if you need.

Also, Shimano will work in that application, I'm sure.

I have a 1985 model that I am in love with. I'm not sure if it would be the same, but if you could tell me how to check, I could possibly do that.

thanks for your offer, but unless you are already aware of the length, it'd require the removal of the crank and the spindle. Can't think of another way to do it w/o removal.

ok. sorry. I'm a little newer to cycling so I haven't gotten that far yet.

Funny thing is, I originally got the Team Fuji to learn to work on instead of a newer bike I bought. Now I am thinking about selling the newer bike and getting another vintage one.
