I have come across an Older "Pog" hanging in a garage, that is stamped with a SER.# in the lower 13K's, It hasn't been rode in years by the look of it,All original blue paint and decals (some rust around drops), "fastback" stays, Older duraace groupo. Was wondering what the Value would be in todays market, and is there a market for this type of bike?
if it's a 54 or 55cm frame there is no market at all for it, its practically junk and probably not
safe to ride. I'll give you a $50 to take the frame off your hands.
ok, thats BS. I admit it (I have a Pog Pista ser# 13148).
The bike was built in the interim or transition period of ownership of the Pogliaghi name.
The jury is out if these were built by Marc Rossin, The Basso brothers or someone else in
the Pogliaghi shop ( Freshci?).
I'd check ebay for prices of pogliaghi's. Understand an older Pog, ( 60s and 70's) with PSM
stamp (seatube collar ) will be worth much more than an early to mid 80's frame.
please post pictures, I'd love to see your Pog. does it have 27 or 30 world championships
claimed on the headtube decal?

Thanks for the response, This bike does not belong to me,Yet! I found it hanging in a guys garage during a garage sale (bike NIC) Bike was Deceased sons,Got it in Italy early 80's stationed there for military, Bike is a darker blue, with "fastback" stays (what was the purpose of this style vs. other type) Cenilli bars, mavic rims, dura ace group, all in great shape, alittle rust here and there, said his kid was at least 6'-3"
(size of frame, Clue) Bike is just a dust collector now,Sad. I would like to know more, found nothing on Ebay, min. on Google and wik. Don't want to offend current owner with stupid offer, and not sure whether I should be more interested, need guidence, any body want to ballpark? I will try to get pics for better Idea.
I'd say the bike should be somewhere in the $300 - 500 range.
So what does the owner want to do with the bike? was it out there for sale or just
hanging and you happened to see it? I wouldn't be too worried about offending him,
unless you offer something stupid like $50. I'd see how he felt about the low end of the
above range and see where it goes from there.

on Pogliaghi.
