Cascade Cycling Club had their annual Seattle bike Expo this past weekend, and it was almost devoid of tandems. CoMotion had a booth with several tandems and I saw one at the Ti Cycles booth (probably that same one they displayed last year) but no others. R+E put on their own expo a couple weeks ago and didn't attend this one. Are tandems becoming less popular?

CoMotion had about 4 tandems; Ti had one; Evergreen Tandem Club was there. I think that there were fewer booths available this year than last, might have played a part.
Click-Stand, who usually has his tandem demonstrating the use of the click-stand, was not there.
In terms of numbers, the increase in number of cargo bikes displayed was about the same as the decrease in tandems.
I did notice that many of the organized rides included photos of tandem riders, seemed like a few more of those photos than in the past; and, there were a number of tandem photos in the photography show.
