hey everybody, do any of you know the threading standards for the miche hubs? i was wondering if a dura-ace cog or eai cog would thread properly on my miche hub. the miche cog (not the splined system cog) i have on the hub right now is super noisy and actually seems to cause the chain not to engage right. i'm running a miche group with a steamroller frame, checked the chainline, played with chain tension and all that and its still bugging the crap out of me. my other bike has a promax hub with a dura ace cog and i put that on the bike and its much quieter, even though the wipperman white star chain is still kinda noisy. the dura ace cog is much thicker than the miche cog and i'm thinking that might have something to do with the noise. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

you can run dura-ace cogs on miche hub w/o problem. they use same threading.
I've used miche cogs(splined ones) on a goldtec hub and never had preblems.

I have a wheel with an older Suzue hub I had a hard time finding a lockring for. Surly, Dura-Ace, various bottom bracket rings, all N/G. Finally went to my highend fixed-friendly LBS, he found a Miche ring that would fit. I don't remember the exact TPI, but it's slightly different than Dura-Ace.

Miche hubs coupled with Dura-Ace cogs are compatible.
I think however a Miche hub and Dura-Ace lock ring wont work.
You'll need to get a Miche or Miche compatible lock ring.

Weird- the other day the mechanic at my lbs told me miche hubs will only accept miche cogs..

Makes me wonder what other misinformed advice I have been getting (either from lbs or this forum)

Since they have a standard threading you can use any cogs for the Miche hubs, but the key is the italian threaded lockring, which is different from Dura Ace. It is the same as the phil and campy.
