Well I have no idea why the search function is not working but I was wondering some quick and easy ways to removing grips. I have some oury grips on my flatbars that I need replace and I have no idea how. They are on extremely tight and I don't have access to compressed air. Any DIY tools you guys use? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Insert flathead screwdriver, spray WD-40, remove grip.

Some rubbing alcohol and a way of getting it under the grips, will slide right off. Ideally you'd use a syringe, if not available, use a screwdriver to pry the edge up and poor rubbing alcohol into the grip. This also works for installing the grips as the alcohol will evaporate and the grips will be on firmly.

Ourys can be ''rolled off''

+1

I've done this before and it just takes a little bit of perseverance.

if you don't want to re use them you can cut them off with a razor blade

hairspray keeps them on, all of the above will get them off. though WD-40 will make them "greasy" and a screw driver will scratch them up. your grips will cover the scratches. but i know some kids who are anal and didn't want to scratch their bars. you could use and piece of plastic really. i never thought of a syringe, sounds like it would work well. don't know where to get one personally though (not going to go to the pharmacy and buy a syringe). rubbing alcohol is your best bet, if you don't have that or WD-40, you could use water (if you used hairspray to get them on. i have seen stupid people glue them on, then you have to cut them off). though water works, you need to use a little bit more force than alcohol to get them off.

Alcohol and the pointed end of a zip-tie (no scratchy-scratchy).

Chops sticks work best if you don't want to scratch your bars or rolling them off.

Jam a plastic fork in there and pour rubbing alcohol in. It helps if you can tip the bars so it is easier for the rubbing alcohol to run down the inside of the grip.

stick the little straw from a can of WD-40 underneath and give it a quick shot.

Use your mouth.

I rub soap on a butter knife, and then slide it under the grips.

Grab your nearest compressed air nozzle, jam it in, and blow away. Works better than anything because it just inflates them and shoots them off. Occasionally you need to give them a nudge, but not too often.

I just did this over the weekend. I used popsicle sticks (wife has a box of them for crafts) and hair gel as a lube.

Exactly

use fluffheads' wooden chopstick idea if you have painted or finished bars.
