For a variety of reasons (none tragic, fortunately), I haven't bike commuted for nearly two full months. It feels good to be back on the bike. Anybody else get back in the saddle after a long (?) hiatus? (Edit: Apparently, the answer is yes (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=521088).)

I'm back from my winter hiatus.
Did a nice and easy 10 miles this weekend. For some reason, I deal better with the autumn cold than I do with the early spring cold. It used to be the exact opposite. Go figure.

I took about 2.5 months off i guess. I stopped for the winter in Dec. In Jan i got a new and closer job which opened up the possibility of winter cycling. Early Feb i finally put together a winter beater and took to the streets. So i doubt i'll ever go that long again.

Anyway, i bet there's a ton of seasonal cyclists who go 3 or 4 months each year. I used to be one of them.

Funny to note, i tend not to go to bikeforums when i'm not riding. No rhyme nor reason, i just don't.

I didn't visit BF much either during this hiatus, and I have a reason: SHAME. :D

The last time I took a break this long was when I had a knee problem that kept me off the bike a couple of years ago. Maybe not so much shame then as envy.

my toes froze this morning, and the new work shower brought them back to life - but it was pretty painful as they warmed up
