Oops...I kinda started posting without introducing myself! :o

I'm from Portland, ME, USA and I've been riding (seriously) for about 8 years. Well, 8 spring/summer/falls anyway. Winters here are long and cold, and I tend to put on quite a bit of weight. I've been hurting trying to pull it up the hills this Spring, as usual...

I'm a road biker; I ride a Bianchi (which is what my favorite LBS carries.) The last few summers I've put in about 1500 miles, and I've been slowly increasing the mileage each year. This will be my 3rd year competing in triathlons, and biking is by far the most enjoyable discipline for me (although I'm a better swimmer.) I've been thinking about getting into racing, although I'm not really sure if I'm ready at this point.

I've been lurking for a week or so, and enjoying reading some of the old threads. I'm sure you'll see some posts from me in the future (hopefully even some intelligent ones!) :D

Glad to have you with us ryan, I'll be doing a tri this weekend, as a team though :( you dont want to see me drown or see me "run" (if you can call it that). Racing is a ton of fun, I'm just getting into it this year.

lurking is good, but active is better!
