I'm not one to promote a product but these new SuperBites are a cool new idea. They are like an energy gel but in a tablet. Sometimes I chew one and it's gone in seconds or I just let it sit in my mouth and slowly dissolves for 10 minutes. So much easier to get down than gels and my stomach has no problem with them. The only deal is you got to take one every 15 minutes or so because they are not real big. I thought this would be a bummer, but it hasn't been an issue. They taste great and I like keeping one in my mouth . . . its like a carb I.V. The idea of keeping a steady flow of carbs going is perhaps why I never feel like bonking when I'm eating these things. On harder or longer rides I combine SuperBites with Accelarade for max carbs. Thought you might like to know about them. Check 'em out at www.superbites.com

Have you also thought about putting the tablets in a bottle of water and creating a concentrated drink mix with them that way you dont have to pop tablets every 15 minutes? Theres not very many calories in these little suckers... Im a bit skeptical :D

I did try dropping one in a glass of water to see what would happen. Just sits in the bottom and dissolves very slowly. I do understand your skepticism given the size as I was skeptical too. But I think that turns out to be one of the products biggest secrets to working so well. Small shots of carbs at frequent intervals. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
