Since my nice cheap New Balance windbreaker pants met their end in my chainring last fall I've been without cool weather pants. I used a pair of heavier duty nylon pants in the winter with success. Now that the temps are averaging around the 40's I need something a little cooler. What are y'all using? I'm thinking of actually buying some cycling-specific clothing for once. The Rivendell wool semi-tights (http://www.rivbike.com/products/list/clothing?a=1&page=all#product=22-271) look perfect but they don't have size men's large in stock. Campmor has "Illuminite Trac pants (http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___65021?CS_003=2477120&CS_010=65021)" which look good but again, I failed to order them when my size was still in stock. Any other suggestions?

When I want rain pants, I wear my REI Elements hiking pants and just wrap a reflecty band around the ankle to keep them out of the chain.

I wore a set of lined bib tights on my commute in this morning from aerotech designs:

the ride was -3c/26f, 7 km. Got a bit chilly from the knee down near the end of the ride.

Hey, thanks for the link. I ended up ordering the "Freedom Cycling Pants" (http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/tights.htm#pants) from Aerotech. Good for 35-65F, they look perfect.

Power Shield (http://foxwear.net/products_pants.html) pants are actually rain pants, but they wick sweat very well. Lou at Foxwear
makes each pair to fit - he'll have you take measurements before making the pants.

Longjohns from Target work well under tights, anything made from synthetic material.
