OK...time for a bit of nostalgia. Time to dig up some names of crushes you had when you young and in school (up through high school). Names you probably haven't thought of in YEARS. Now they are just random names, so don't be afraid to give their names.

This should be a good nostalgic warm fuzzy kind of thread (that will devolve into something about sex eventually in typical Foo fashion).

A few big crushes that come to mind:

Lordes Apponte - 7th grade
Nina Weese - 8th grade
Jennifer Myers - 9th grade
Alexis Major (still email once in a blue moon) - 12th grade

Alright, I'll play.

Sarah Betts - 9th grade
Megan Milburn - 10th grade - I heard from this one recently, and she'd gotten fat and ugly. Glad I dodged that bullet.
Katie Fletcher - 11th grade - I think both of our mothers would have been overjoyed if we'd hooked up. This one also got fat.
Helen Cloots - 11th grade - This one would go to second period all sweaty from tennis practice first period (or she sucked really hard at showering).
Laura Smith -12th grade - Didn't really know much about this one other than that she seemed like my type but was evidently pretty shy.

2nd grade, my neighbor, who will remain unnamed because her name IS all over the Internet. We did more than most... never mind, but it was a dry spell until I was 22 or so.

4th grade, Anne Loche or something. Teacher found out and thought he would be nice and assign us to sit next to each other for a whole semester. The teacher had good intentions, but it was the worst semester of my life.

Then there were countless others who never knew I existed.

Early twenties, straight out of college and we, or at least I, could tell you liked to sunbathe after class in a bikini.

You were gorgeous, thank you for the memories.

Oh, oh, oh! I told my dad I had a crush on my 7th grade math teacher. I said, "Miss Lewis is a hottie!". At student conferences, while I was present, he said to her: "My son is right. You ARE a hottie." She was really nice to me/scared of me after that day.

Maria Flores: 6th (Landed up having a child before high school was over. Also signaled my seemingly-permanent bias for Asian women.)

Shazia Khan: 7th (This one had potential, but fell pretty flat.)

Amber Behn: 8th (This one would have happened, but she liked me when I didn't and vice versa).

Meredeth Calero: 9th (This one definitely had potential, but distance broke it.)

Claire {unknown**: 9th (This one wasn't going anywhere.)

hidden: This became my first relationship. Name is withheld, since it's pretty easily searchable on the web.

Anne {unknown**: 10th (Was in my debate camp around 10th or 11th grade; can't remember. Would have materialized, but distance broke this.)

Ruby Mathew (?): 10th (This didn't work at all because she was Indian and I wasn't.)

Brooke Bizub: Freshman (We were together almost all of the time, but she didn't seem too enthusiastic about dating me.)

Annie Chan: Junior (We did date for a short period of time, and then I spent about a year or so trying to filter her out).

That's about all I can remember. I'm sure I had more, though. I do remember that I would become quickly attached to a woman, and thus failed hard with women for a long time.

Yes, a few including one of the ones from *my* crush list (Alexis Major from 12th grade).

Another girl, Elizabeth something or other, spilled the beans in my year book when she signed it saying she wished we'd have gotten to be "more than just friends".

A girl I dated in 11th grade had a good friend named Sherry who I found out had a crush on me for a LONG TIME before I ever dated her friend. In fact, her crush goes back long before I ever even knew her (that was a little creepy).

And Turkish, I knew a Turkish girl in college that is probably one of the prettiest girls I've ever known. To this day whenever I talk to my best friend (lives in SoCal) from college, we almost always end up mentioning her and how pretty and nice she was. Her name was Lali.

My Jr High math teacher, she was like this 60s hippy chick, tall, black eyes, long black hair, VERY artistic, and VERY sexy! she must have been in her early 30s, I was like 16, last day of Jr High we (the students) were all lined up for hugs and kisses, when I came up for my turn I planted a full on lip lock on her! I though I was done! but she just smiled with eyes wide open and gave me an extra huge hug! :D I was in heaven! I never saw her again. :(

OK,

Marta {unknown** - 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. The most intelligent girl in class... She never knew.

Mariel {Hidden** - 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. I fell in love first day of school. I just looked at her once and that was it. I confessed on the 10th grade but told her I was over it. She thought it was funny because we were best friends all these years and I never said anything. I also confessed she was the inspiration for all the cheesy love poems I wrote over the years.

The crush continued well after high school. We used to talk on the phone every now and then till she joined the Army. When she came back I was already married. She married soon after and leave for North Carolina.

Some years later I was working on an office supply store and she went to buy something... with the husband and a child. I was still married to the 1st wife but still, I started shaking and got very nervous. I ran to an filing room on the 2nd floor where I remained hidden till she left. I could see them trough a small window as they walked trough the store. I was crying the whole time, wondering if the lucky ******* knew how lucky he was.

I found her this year on the internetz. We email every now and then. I have another wife now, she has a new husband as well. We talk as friends, as we did for so many years back in school. I don't mention my decade long mega-crush because it will hurt me a lot if she doesn't even remember the confession that took place on the 10th grade. Plus we are both married and I feel it would be improper to talk about it.

Justine - kindergarten, she lived down the street from me. I followed her home one day and stood outside her house just looking at it. Some time later she visited my house and my Mom made us lunch.

Shirley and Robin - 2nd grade. Unrequited.

Miss English - 3rd grade teacher. Maybe all of 22, blond, pretty, lavished lots of praise and attention toward me. My family moved across town in the middle of my 3rd grade, so she invited me and a friend over to her house for a goodbye lunch date. She later had the class practice their script writing by writing me a letter and sent the packet in the mail to my new house. I still have those letters.

Lisa N. - 4th through 6th grade. My first real girlfriend with all the secret hand holding, note exchanging, name on tree carving, blow kissing, dancing, board and sports game playing moments you can possibly imagine. Everything changed during the summer between 6th and 7th grade when she turned into a young woman, and I lost her to one of the many older boys who began circling around her. Broke my heart.

Ah, but that's not the end of the story, because in 9th grade, the biology teacher assigned us partners for a project because we lived across the street from each other. One evening she and I got together at her house to go over our project. It was her, me, and her boyfriend, with them sitting across from me at a large wood table. At some point I began to feel her foot grazing mine. For the rest of the night we played footsie while her boyfriend was right next to her! Ah, but that's not the end... Sorry, can't go there, but it involved her two younger sisters and me during a drive-in movie.:innocent:

Bonnie H. - 8th grade. Brown hair, brown eyes, bee stung lips. First serious makeout session in her basement with my friend and his girlfriend doing same on the couch across from us while listening to Beatles records. In school, she sat behind me in science class and traced suggestive words on my back with her finger and ran her feet up the backs of my legs. :thumb:

Kathy Z. - 10th grade. Brown hair, green eyes, feline pretty, 1 yr older, lived next door to me in the adjoining town house. She expressed her interest in me during a Halloween party by pinning me to the ground (oh, did I ever struggle to get away), then slipping ice down my shirt and pants. We fell in love. She broke up with me months later (again, to an older boy), which hurt me greatly. Afterwards, whenever I heard her and the new boyfriend laughing it up through the thin walls, I'd practice my bass guitar with the amp pressed against the wall.:crash:

Joni W. 11th grade. Blond hair, green eyed fox who was also a year older than me and completely above my league, but for some reason she liked me. She was the only girl in the entire school with a real job making real money - computer keypunch operator. A date with her often began with a visit to one of her clients to service their IBM office system. She paid for her car in full and had more clothes and shoes than all the other girls in her class combined. Everyone, and I mean everyone thought I was nuts by breaking up with her. Unfortunately, she fought with me over the amount of time I spent with my cycling friends, so I had to break up with her.

Jill C. - 11th grade. Younger sister of the girl who introduced me to Joni W. the summer before. The two sisters were a singing duo that won talent shows. Jill would go on to have a steady singing career. For whatever reason, Jill and I could never get together even though we eyed one another all the time. Years later when we met at one of her shows, she admitted that she had a huge crush on me back then, but my being older by 2 years intimidated her and she clammed up around me, which I took as disinterest. Oh well.

Tina R. - 12th grade. Think Maryann from Gilligan's Island, but really smart. Unrequited.

Lori ? 12th grade. She was the younger sister of the lead singer in the band I was in. A roman candle affair that burned bright for a short time, then fizzled out when the band broke up.:(

Too bad we have to stop at 12th grade, because it get's really interesting from that point forward. :D

Kindergarten: Andrea, her friend Katie, was cute too. Ran into Katie again when I was in sixth grade.

Fourth Grade: Stella E. Man, I mooned over her, made a little mobile w/ her name on it that I put up in my room while listening to Chris de Burgh. Was I ever lame. My parents had a heyday clowning on me that year. I think she's an artist, now. She always was good at art.

Sixth Grade: Heather K. Sweet girl, she became a cheerleader and was on the dance team in high school.

Seventh Grade: We rented a cabin and her family was up there, too. She gave me a piece of wood (gutter minds, begone with thee) that said "I like you." I didn't know what to make of that, so I said, "Wow, how weird, how did that get there. That someone would write that, strange, huh?" She had what my mother described as "eyes the color of the wings of the dragonfly". Mom was right. I hid out the rest of that trip.

Eighth grade: Melanie P. & Jessica Z. Ah, the days of big hair and hair sprayed bangs.

Ninth grade: I would meet the one who would haunt and torment my dreams until I told her I would marry her in '95. On one of our dates, I took her to a Vietnamese restaurant owned by a grade school friend in Uptown, put a flower in her hair, then took her to the Sculpture Garden at the Walker. She turned heads the whole time. I think she was my first love. Broke my heart and all that.

Hmmmm. Haven't turned those memories around in my head like polished river stones in a while.
