I would have to say that having a woman dancing close is better than jumping all over the dance floor. I mean isn't the object to get close in the first place. You can talk and it is just an all around great feeling. I say this because most fast dancing I do looks like Jackie Gleason doing the HuckleBuck.

Thoughts on this observation?

They don't call slow songs "ass grabbers" for nothing.

It should also be remembered that the ladies.....well....get to grab whatever the mood moves them to....

Actually my wife rests her head against my chest....I liked it when were dating and it is still nice....

Ann Landers once described dancing as a "vertical sublimation of a horizontal inclination." I presume she was referring to slow, partner dancing.

What's not to like about all dancing, really?

I dunno...I've seen Air fast dance and he seems to do okay;)

having said that I will only hit the dance floor on slow numbers, where I can fake it a little easier...I would love to be able to dance, esp. a waltz.

Before he died, my grandpa made sure to tell me in no uncertain terms that slow dancing is specifically to get women horny. He was a smart man. :thumb:

Guys, guys, guys.......

You don't have to "slow dance" to get that beauty right up next to you.

Just take up Ballroom or Country & Western Dancing and you'll always have her within arms reach.

Slow dancing, like bench seats in cars, is preferrable to no-touch dancing and bucket seats.

Yur doin in rong.

If you're dancin', you're looking at the ravishing beauty in front/side/behind you. The way her hair flairs when she turns, the happy glint in her eye, the move of her lines.

I mean, dude.

If you're lookin' at the dude in the corner dancing to Elton John's "Crocodile Rock" (true story), you're eyes aren't on the ball.

Ballroom's fine...but country and western dancing would require listening to country and western music...

Country & Western Dancing

I'll do many things to get up close and personal with a woman, but that right there is just asking too much. :D

A few weeks ago, I was speaking with a family whose daughter was about to go to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a semester abroad. Since I had a girlfriend who had been from Buenos Aires, and I had visited her there after she had to return home, they were curious about my experiences in the country. The student's mother asked me if I had danced the tango when I was there. I casually explained that it was against my religion. She looked surprised and asked what religion that was. "Nerdy white guy," I replied.

Oddly enough, even though that girlfriend is now an ex, I have had the desire to learn to tango lurking in the back of my mind. I wonder how many bottles of Quilmes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerveza_Quilmes) it would take before I'd think that was a good idea? Considering that I went for a ride and then to the gym instead of to the bar on St. Patrick's Day, probably not too many!

If a single male showed up at a tango class, I'm betting he wouldn't have any lack of partners.

Single fellas, if you take partner dancing lessons, you will have no shortage of females to get close to.

This is true - I hate saying no sometimes but if my ice is melting...

Guys: the biggest trick is to make her feel safe. Have an assertive lead even if you don't know where you're going. Let her know you got it and you're taking care of her for a few minutes-then leave her for another ;)

As long as they're female, I'm ok with that! :thumb:
