Here's my 2006 Comp model. Changed a bit from stock. Ultegra standard double, Mavic Cosmos wheels (road, stock Roval wheels have cross tires), Brooks Swift Ti saddle and Tricross racks. Don't have the front rack on in this picture. My opinion of this bike is quite high. I've had numerous aluminum road bikes (all Trek brand) and have HATED them. Had to sell them all because of the harsh ride. This bike rides as good as carbon. I no lie... If I had to get rid of all my bikes and only have one. This would be the one I'd keep.

Rides beautifully. Extremely smooth and has decent speed. Not as fast as my Roubaix, but just as comfortable. I've used it for many centuries and it performed great. It's more upright than a typical road bike so you do lose some aerodynamics, but it is possible to change this with an adjustment of the setup. Personally, I prefer to give up a little speed for comfort.

You can search for my mini-reviews / opinions in other tricross threads... bottom line, I like the tricross a lot.
