Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - 1/2 x 1/8th 130BCD 52t - Do they exist?

Having a hard time finding 52t 130bcd in a 1/8th format. Any suggestions?

Just use a 3/32" road ring - they work fine with 1/8" chains.

Edit: D'oh, I see they only go up to 50. If TA doesn't make one you're probably screwed.

Why are you dead set on a 52 for a single speed bike though? If you must have a 1/8" ring in front you can always put on a 48 or so and drop a tooth in the cog for the same gear. Or, get a 144bcd crankset if only 52 teeth @ 1/8" will do.

I spent days on the intarnetz trying to find a 46/47 T chainring in 151 BCD. The only ones I found were top dollar because 151 is obsolete. So when I stumbled upon these guys, I was very happy!

The rings are machined in one session at the CNC machine, so they claim their rings are very round. Well, they are. None of the annoying out of roundness you get with mass produced rings. You get to choose a design and have the option of black anodized, polished etc. I just went for the thinner 3 mm, silver option and I think I didn't pay more than 55 US dollars including shipping!
Plus they are very cool guys to deal with, definately shopping there in the future.

Well I'm riding a converted road bike and as of right now it spinning too early with a 48t in the front and a 18t in the back. I'll probably lose a tooth or two in the back and see how that works. I was dead set on a 52 because that's what my limited scope of knowledge provided for me as a fix to my problem.

I was unsure about using a 3/32 chainring in a 1/8 chain due to the amount of space surounding the tooth in the link. I asked this question in the general forums but haven't gotten a solid answer yet (nor have I check back recently). I felt like there'd be too much play laterally

I run a 1/8th chain and rear cog with a 3/32 chain ring. No problems.

as people have been saying, keeping the 48t chainring up front and replacing the cog with 17t or 16t will be a less expensive solution.

Another good source for custom chainrings is Highpath Engineering (http://www.highpath.net/cycles/orders/egg.html), they'll make you pretty much anything.
