North America's longest track racing program begins April 7 at the San Diego Velodrome on Morley Field in Balboa Park and continues every Tuesday through the end of September. Racing begins at 6:30. Admission is free for spectators who will enjoy the remodeled grandstand area, courtesy of contractor Patrick Quinn, local Eagle Scouts, and the San Diego Velodrome Association. The 2008 season set attendance records for riders and spectators; 2009 promises to be even bigger.
