I finally got a Ute. I considered all the other as well. It was a combination of all details. The price was a no brain'r. I added a handbar off the seat post for kid #1 and I bolted/zip tied a back rest for kid #2.
It's not my first bike, and it won't be my last :D
Nor is it perfect, but I am liking it so far.
I still use the child trailer. I generally leave it on all the time. It doesn't add much and it's handy to have if I am picking something up unexpected. Including bringing home an extra friend.
