Cupertino's Mary Avenue Bicycle Footbridge over 280 will open with a ribbon cutting ceremony 3 pm Thursday, April 30. Save the date! The ceremony will be the at the south end of the bridge, at Mary Avenue and Meteor Avenue.

Nice. A couple weeks ago I tried riding over it on my commute home since it looked essentially finished as viewed from the construction cam (http://oxblue.com/pro/open/cupertino/maryavebicyclefootbridge). But it was all fenced off and I had to detour onto Stelling :( Glad to finally hear an official opening date.

I ride past this on every lunch ride I do. I can't wait for it to open! Being able to avoid the section of Homestead between Wolfe and Mary will be nice :)
