Long Beach Marathon (http://www.runlongbeach.com/site5.aspx) is not too far away. Plus, it's in October, so you'd have time to train. :)

Palos Verde Marathon and Half Marathon are on 3 May, OC Marathon and Half Marathon are on May 3, LA marathon is May 25 and San Diego Rock n Roll is on May 31. Those are the four big races before the beginning of summer.
