I've had some parts laying around for a while that I wanted to build up, and this frame caught my eye on eBay, so I got it. The geometry is a bit ridiculous, it looks cool though. The problem is that the auction description didn't specify what wheel sizes; I assumed 700c all around. The front seems to be a 650c though. My bottom bracket doesn't fit either. Anyways, I was anxious to try and sort of see what it would look like, so I put it together as much as I could. The only thing I am up in the air about now is whether I should try and find a 650c wheel somewhere, or try and put a 700c fork on.. What do you guys think? (Pictures below.)

Headset not installed yet. Sloped top tube + Nitto track stem + Nitto bars = very hunched over riding position. In the last picture you can see the problem with the fork (that is a 700c wheel).

Man that is ridiculous geometry. Hurts me just thinking of riding it. Cool find though.

start practicing handstands!

if the frame will accept a 700 (and i don't know why not), slap it on. right now, it looks like you bought it from Sebulba (star wars).

If you're in a pinch and have one laying around you can use a 26" MTB wheel with a small slick on it, the hutchinson 1 inch was like $12 for a while and works great. Yea, I know blasphemy, how could you put a wheel like that on a bike like that bla bla bla. Point is that it's a cheap way to figure out if you like the bike without dropping $100 on a new wheel. Try it, see if you like it, otherwise send it to me. I love funny bikes.

Looks like fun, the painful kind of fun. I'd get the 650. And add my offer to the list of people willing to give it a good home if you don't like it.

get a 650. mavic makes the cxp33 in 650, and i'm sure there are other folks who make 650c rims as well. hell, if you don't mind using a tubular tire, i have a campy hub, radial-laced to a superconfex rim, 650c. i think it's like, 28 spoke. no tire though.

nice bike. i'd ditch the drop stem and get a regular nitto pearl road stem.

Well, when Northbrook Velodrome reopens next year, you'd better bring that beasite to the pursuit races...that ain't no streetfix! Go head to head with Marcus' paramount :D

Oh, and its an italian frame, therefore:italian bottom bracket. Buisnesscycles has a special on campy italian track bb's, check it out

this being a TT bike, i assume you'r want TT bullhorns...good excuse to get the nitto ones! that'll make it hurt a bit less, too

now get a 650, and italian BB, and nitto bullhorns and then show off and make us jealous!

I like the MTB front wheel idea. Nobody would know the difference. That's a cool bike. Even if you can't ride it far you can always hang it on the wall. It looks like art to me!

don't put a front break on it ;) Not that you could or anything but man I could'nt ride something like that. I like the pick of the same bike w/ the new fork though...
