Yes. This is my constant re-occuring bad dream.

My variation is that I'm taking a final exam in a college class that I've never been to once during the semester and did not study for. Actually, that's not too far from reality for a least one college course I took.

Uh, yes, I have. I graduated college in '92.

After 4 years they have gotten a lot less frequent. This happens to everyone I have talked to as well.

Mine usually involves a lab I have no idea of what's going on or falling seriously back in the assignments.

I've been out of school for almost 4 years, but I still seem to have it about once a month.

The usual version of mine is in a class I never took, in a building I never actually had a class in, but it still feels real. A lot of times I'm blowing off a class, especially one I don't care about but is required, to focus on other classes. Those are the worst, because I essentially did do that with linear algebra (although it was an elective).

Sometimes I'm actually taking a college class, but back at my high school.

I've had a dream where I'm at work with my co-workers, only the place we were working in was the elementary school where I had attended back in the 70's.

This happens to me, in reality, on a semi-regular basis. If I start dreaming about it when I graduate, I will not be happy.

Yes, i still have those dreams.

Not that one...mine is: I'm sitting at a breakfast bar sipping a cup of coffee when some young lady I don't recognise comes and sits next to me. She orders a drink and then turns to me and says "I'm late"....scares me every time.

I got my bachelor's degree in 1963, and my master's in 1972...and I still have that dream about finals coming up for a class I never attended. Sometimes, I dream that I could somehow manage to pass the exam, if only I could remember the classroom where it was being held...

Never have had that happen, probably because I never got stressed out over school.

I haven't had that dream in a while, but I've been out of college for a long time. :o

My version was generally that I forgot which classes were on which days, and I couldn't remember where the classrooms were located.

I had this dream once at the beginning of a final...in 1971. I went blank and sweated for 20 minutes. Then I chilled out of it and passed in flying colors.

My variation of this dream is knowing that I'm supposed to be in class, but not knowing what the class is or which room it's in.

I really hate being lost.

Mine are a lot less frequent now. They're a variation where I learn about 3/4 of the way through the semester that I have a class I only vaguely remember having been enrolled in, and haven't been going to.

Maybe there's a statute of limitations, and I'm near the end of it.

I also just remembered this scene used in a somewhat obscure, but hilarious Val Kilmer spy comedy called Top Secret.

He goes through the usual...he's late, he can't get his locker open, he can't find the classroom, etc.

Then he wakes up and finds that it's only a dream and this whole time he's been being tortured in an East German secret police cell, and his tormentors are awakening him after he passed out, to which he mutters, "Thank goodness, it was just a dream." :roflmao:

I never had a dream about school, I have had dreams about work. When I was a machinist, I would have a dream that a machine I was running(lathe) was going to crash. I would wake up at the end of the bed clawing at the wall, trying to stop the machine.

I have this recurring dream where I'm on BikeForums instead of working. The end of the day comes and I haven't achieved my goals for the day.

Yes, I have this dream! Amazing how universal it is! And I've been out of school for many years.

The dream is usually that I am half-way thru the college semester, and suddenly I realize, "Oh, CRAP" - I have apparently not been attending one of my classes, not reading the homework assignments, and probably even missed a few tests.

I've had it again and again.

I haven't ever been excessively worried about missing assignments. Those are dates I generally remember. My dreams revolve around whether the work I've done is any good.

For me that was programming in Pascal. After the first day of watching the teacher explain how to turn the PC on and off over and over again I skipped until the final and got an A.

I had two instances like that but weren't dreams. One is I stopped going to class midway through the semester. When I went to the final, no one was there. I asked at the Department Office and they told me the class location was changed a long time ago. I made the final with just a few minutes before it was over and barely answered a few questions.

The other was I fell asleep during a final and woke up with only a few questions done.
