So far the Siouxland Trails Foundation has raised at least $25,000.
This money has come from companies & individuals who have been asked to donate & a matching challenge gift. The money has also come from the bike ride registrations, money made on the t-shirts & meals, which I am happy to say 100% of will go toward the foundation goals.
After the ride foundation members will conduct a survey of the trail & bike route system & present a report to the park & rec. depts. of each community. The money raised will also be presented at that time as well in accordance with each communities needs. This decision will be made by the foundation's board of directors.
We are very happy the foundation has raised that amount of money in such a short period of time. But it doesn't stop there. We have applied for grants & are going to ask larger corporations for donations as well.
