Foo - Do most people sucK?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Everyone else is doing it. All some folks need is an excuse.

I'm trying this starting today: when you're about to judge someone, find something to distract you from doing so. Read some one-off information. Play a short game. Do anything to let your own thoughts mold a character of someone that will never be a part of your life, and focus more on improving your own.
I hope this works.

Something that might help is this: People often react to how you are. I play over in P & R a lot, and find most everyone very polite and reasonable. Now, I am sure many people would disagree with me. But, I try to be polite and reasonable, so people respond in kind.
I find 80 % of the people in the world, if not more, to be good people overall, with the same needs and wants that I have. And I know they aren't spending much time thinking about me, they have their own issues, etc.
If you are happy where you are, generally it is because you are there, and if you don't like it, often it is the same reason. The only thing in the world you can change is you - and it is generally what makes the biggest difference. I have seen a lot of people waste a lot of money moving to say Costa Rica and hating it after they move.

well said. you have to focus on yourself first.
But it sounds to me like the OP is a reaction to a bad day, etc. We all have them.
ilikebikes, you definitely don't sound like the whiny complainer type from most of your posts...if you just had a bad day, hang in there and know that while you're only human and can get upset, there's no need for condemning the human race. There is good and bad out there and it's all part of our world.

I had to read that twice - I think he meant he is nice so he gets nice back. I'll admit I don't play in P&R much because I haven't always enough nice in me for that place.
That, and I haven't much intelligent or useful to add:o

It won't, and I can't believe you need to resort to such silly tricks to keep you from judging others.
Ooooo look at that pretty car . . .
