Someone was telling me the other day, that the DA cassettes are only rated to 1500 miles. Is this really true?? For $160, you are looking at over $1 per 10 miles of riding.. insane..

That's stupid. Keep the drivetrain clean and replace the chain every 3K or so and the cassette will last a long time.
The DA cassette will wear out faster because half the sprockets are ti to reduce weight, but not 1500 miles.

cassette's don't wear out so quickly - they just get bent by a bad chain.

replace the chain when it is stretched and you won't have to replace the casssette for a VERY VERY long time.
