I just made the switch from SPD to LOOK PP396 pedals. These things are so easy to get into and I got off the bike without any discomfort on the ball of my foot (a problem with the SPD). Unfortunately, they are a lot harder to get out of than the SPD were!! I have the release set to be as easy as it can get and I have to give a real snap to my heel to get out. Today was my first ride in them and I reolized that the rotation of the cleats puts my toe in further than is natural for me (OK, I walk like a duck!!). On my SPD I was able to angle the cleat so my foot toed out slightly. How do I make the adjustment with the LOOK cleat?? I see the three screws and I assume that is the way, but I don't want to screw up anything by messing where I shouldn't.
I assume that it will be easier to get out of the pedals once my leg is lined up the way it naturally wants to be. I had to reduce the float to 3 in order to be able to unclip!! I really want to be able to use 9 and save my old knees a bit of strain (which the current cleat position has created).
Any help would be appreciated. BTW, it seems that the guy who set me up did get the fore/aft position dialed in!!
