Where would I find cycling jackets with Italian names to fit my 6'5" 275lbs body?

But seriously, if you're looking for true Italian jackets, you're going to be hard pressed (from what I've seen) to find one. Even a XXXL is designed to fit a sub 200lb guy (in shorts they list it as a 38 waist or some silliness like that.)

If you're just going for the look, then Im sure there are plenty of knockoffs floating around the 'Bay or online.

I have some cycling pants in the mail from Aerotech. They shipped within 24 hours, which was nice.

Thanks for the info. My problem really isn't my chest size as much as it is arm length and something that will hang to my waist in the back. I love being a big guy except when it comes to cars, bikes, and clothes.

You know, a thought just came to mind. Mind you it's a stereotype, but.... what about nordic cycling manufacturers? I'm just thinking where people tend to be taller.... the clothes tend to be longer. FWIW

If you have a problem of shoehorning yourself into an airline seat, take the train, train seats and leg room are much larger then those on an airliner, unless of course you fly first class.

I just got a xxl jersey that makes me look like a vacuum packed pickle I am 255 6'4... however, I found a xxl jacket at REI that fit well and I could even wear a fleece underneath : )

There are two styles of jerseys, some companies (like Louis Garneau) offer 3, Pro Fit, assumes one is very tall for their weight, the material is cut so that it narrows from shoulder to waist, the flairs out. Relaxed or club fit is cut so that it goes straight down from the shoulder, better for the rider that is a little short for their weight. There can be as much as 4 sizes difference between the two, some companies also offer a Semi-Relaxed fit, which splits the difference.

The jersey is probably a Pro-Fit and the Jacket a Relaxed fit, as a general rule when shopping assume that an item is Pro-fit unless marked relaxed or club fit..... I don't know why most bicycle clothing is designed for Pro-fit when the average person is more of a club fit either....:notamused:

I'm 6'4", 260. It fits well and covers up my low back very nicely. As far as arm length, my "wingspan" (which I've heard is supposed to match your height) measures 6'7", and the sleeves are not too short.

And Novara sounds somewhat Italian!

You might want to take a look at Performance Bicycle outerwear. I have one of their Nantahala jackets in XL - I'm 6'6" and and wear a 37" sleeve on dress shirts. This jacket is a perfect fit for me - sleeve and body length are right on. Performance has XXL sizes as well.

Be warned that this specific jacket runs small. I normally wear a 2X, bought a 3X last year, and returned it because it fit like a 1X. After a winter of looking unsuccessfully for another jacket, I just bought a 4X and it fits me well, meaning like a typical American 2X. It's roomy enough in the gut and shoulders to accomodate a biking position, but not billowy, and there's room enough for a t-shirt and sweatshirt underneath. I'm 6'2" tall and the length is about right, but if I were much taller I think it'd be too short.
