The ones I've called charge between $150 - $200. I am lazy and cheap so I'm hoping you know someone who can do a decent job for less than $100 for frame and forks. Thanks.

I heard Leons is affordable. Thinking of going there for one of my projects if the money every shows itself.

Oh, for frame and fork. My sandblasting cabinet isn't nearly big enough for that, unless your frame is for a mouse.

Last time I checked these guys, it was $80 for blasting and powdercoating frame/fork for "in stock" colors.

Maas Tech Coat, 31010 San Clemente St., Hayward, CA 94544, (510)471-6227

Can't wait to see it. :)

Thanks anyway, Joel.

Hi John. I called Maas and they said it'll be $150 for frame and fork. They are the cheapest so far.

Dang, you'd think they'd be lowering prices to attract customers in this recession.

That's what I was thinking too.

Sacramento area powdercoaters... http://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/1082079902.html

There are a couple that post on CL. One advertises $99 for blast/coating. Not sure if the above link is them.

MAAS in Hayward, or MAAS in Livermore? Two different outfits. I called MAAS in Livermore way back when, and they were $150.....

It was Maas in Hayward that I called. It's under new management/ownership.

I used Maas Bros in Livermore for my commuter. I just stripped the frame of parts and dropped it off. They did the frame stripping, prep and powdercoat. Excellent job, I HIGHLY recommend them. $150 even, any color they have with clear. I think they wanted another $30-50 for a fork.

Maas brothers (Hayward) did my frame... but I passed it through the local shop (Cyclepath Hayward)

The job came back beautiful. I think it was $125

I just confirmed that Leon's in Oakland and Fairfield is only charging $90 to bead blast and powder coat. They'll prep the frame and all so no need to tape up threads, etc. They'll charge an extra $20 for candy colors but I don't know what those are yet.
