Wife says she wants to have a mirror on her bike, so I was looking around and found this one. Just wondered if it was worth a d@mn. Thought it was kinda cool since you could push it into the handlebar when not in use. Anyone ever tried one of these?

I have tried three handlebar mirrors and found them all USELESS! The vibration makes it almost impossible to get an angle of the car behind you so you basically see an image. You spend waaaaay too much time before the ride trying to adjust the dam thing and it can get broken or snag itself onto a car!

The only rear vew mirror I can suggest is the "Take A Look". I give the product a 7 out of 10 but I've tried it and will now start wearing one. The product is almost useless at night but it's waaaay better than the "3rd Eye" which is too small.

Thanks........ that's kinda what I was guessing(re: vibration). Yep, I've got one of the take-a-look's and it works fine for me. Takes a bit of tweaking to get it adjusted just right but it actually works pretty good once you get used to it.

I have this helmet mirror. (http://www.epinions.com/pr-Bike_Parts_Accessories-CycleAware_Reflex_Helmet_Mirror#) I was skeptical at first but now I am in love with it. I can't even ride around the block without it. Get this mirror and you won't regret it.

I have always liked the Take A Look mirror..Very convenient.Does not require much rotating of the head and a stable view. Helmet mirrors did not work for me..Those are shaky.
For awhile tried the dot mirrors, since the Take A Look mirror will not fit on my new sunglasses.. The temples have protruding ridges.
Yesterday, I bought a Blackburn handlebar, brake hood mounted mirror.. Others I ride with have them..
They recommended a Rhodes handlebar mirror with a metal frame.
My new Blackburn mirror, not as convenient as Take A look nor as good a view, but since I have few options- I thought they view was pretty good.
Maybe with wear, the Blackburn will start to vibrate and give a shaky view. Not too bad yesterday. Works ok- you have to set it for the most common riding position, you assume when you are changing lanes, etc.. the preblem with the mirror seemed to be, it was stable, but I moved about..
I have to look out the mirror at the angle I had it set for the best view...
