Northeast - List bike shops with URLs here

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi all - I was wondering if you could help me out. I'd like to compile a list of bike shop URLs and add it to the index page for each geographic area. Also give me a note if there's anything interesting (good for vintage, high end, welds, etc...). So I need:

Bike Shop URL: http://bikeworksltd.com/
State: NY (Nassau County)
Notes: Bought my first road bike from Bob (owner) recently. Felt like he was addressing my needs and goals rather than "selling me a bike".

Have any of you from the NY/LI area been to Sunrise Tri before?
I was thinking about getting a bike from there. It seems like one of the better places to get a good bike.

Bike Shop URL: http://www.landrys.com/
State: MA
Notes: A great shop!
SunriseTri is more higher end bikes. Their original store, Sunrise Cyclery on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa Park has more of a selection of average bikes rangeing from comfort through carbon road bikes. They have a great selection of Specialized, some Trek, etc.

Thanks JoAnnL. I'll probably check out their Massapequa location then. The bikes on the website did seem a bit pricey and out of my range. I'll see if they have a better selection at their other store.

Just to add to these two as they are both really the only bike shops I visit.
Brands cycle. Less than 5 minutes from my house. Pretty big selection of parts (especially shoes in stock). Best selection I have seen for park tools. Great selection of tubes, tires, and other items too. When they have a sale some of their prices are amazing. I bought tires and tubes there during one sale and they were cheaper then PBK. Customer service is HORRIBLE! I have stood at their counter many times and received no help. I have walked out of there many times too. When I receive help they spew out so much wrong info its not even funny. I would never let them touch my bike either. I only keep going back because they are so close. If I walk in and can't find it myself right away I just walk out.
Bike Junkie. Two people (Doug and Linda) and they are both GREAT! They have helped me out so many times and are always extremely friendly. Any service I need I would highly recomend them over anywhere else on the island. Doug is great and pays attention to all the details. I usually get all service done their for things I dont have the tools for (BB's, Cranks, headsets, ect...). I also bought a couple of bikes from them. If you need technical advice they are the place to go. They also are the best when you need some random part that is hard to find. They always somehow have it.

If I walk in and can't find it myself right away I just walk out. Well, I would agree with you, and I don't take my bike there for service. I was trying to keep it positive for this thread there. The sales are really good though, and today myself and two of my friends went there and made out like bandits with their sale items.
Went in there today early morning before the rush to buy their shoes, because 20% off makes some of them a steal. I went to a guy who was cleaning up some shoe boxes and asked if he handled the shoes. When he said yes, and offered his help, I told him I wanted a Pearl Izumi Quest MTB, probably size 46 or 47, and if he had the mid-range sidi MTB shoe in 47 mega I'd like to try it too. He comes back with the shoes, and I ask him some simple questions while I tried them on (what are these extra bits for? they were toe grips or something). etc Generally, he was really a jerk to me, being impatient.
I almost walked out on that (and all my other purchases) if it weren't for my friends being there still shopping and also the fact that I saw that the sale price on the box brought them to 62 dollars, which was hard to pass up. Then I asked if he would install the SPD cleats I had brought with me, since we were heading for a ride after and I wanted to try them. He told me that unless we bought the cleats from them, they'd charge me to install them. God forbid he breaks out a hex wrench to turn a few screws, I almost went over to find a multi-tool to do it myself, but refrained and did it when I got home.

I have been in the original store many times but not in the West Babylon location. Is that one a regular store, or just an internet order and pick up location? Can you just go in and tell them what you want from the website, pay for it, and walk out? Or do you have to order on the website and then only pick up there?

I bought both my Allez Sport and Tarmac Pro SL from them and they do all my maintenace. I have never had a problem, except for the service. Like you said, they are somewhat under staffed with people who know what they are doing in the road bike area. Most of the sales staff are MTB guys. If you can get one of the older people's attention, they are better than a lot of places I have been.
I always dropped my bike on a Monday night and pick it up on Friday night, so that might have something to do with the service.
As far as selection - they have stuff there to play with that most other places can't even order for you. Quite the toy store.
