Bicycle Swap Meet March 28 (3301 Elm St Dallas) (http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bik/1082012007.html)

I've been to this swap meet in January and it's pretty decent. Some really nice bikes there, some parts, some good folks to talk to. It wasn't a huge event in January but if the weather's nice there may be a better turnout. If you miss the one in March, there will probably be another one the last week in April. The cruiser show was fun, not a real huge thing, but then afterwards, we all made about an 8-mile loop through town. I'll plan to bring my Snake Farm bike for this, didn't know how far or fast they were going to be riding, but it would be perfect for it. Or The Thing, would work, too.

I won't be going to Dallas today, but I hope to bring the Raleigh 3-speed to the cruiser meet.

I went today and was tempted with lots of nice mtbs, hybrids and a few single speeds. I was really looking for a commuter that already had a rack or baskets. I rolled out with a nice Motobecane Nomade. I have no info on this bike other than it's a 70's. It's a nice little 10 speed and does ride real good when I test rode it. This will be my next commuter. I don't lnow much about bike mechanics but I kinda have been picking good bikes lately.

There was talk of someone buying Owen's place and keeping the swap going. maybe that's what happened.

I don't know who Fred is, I've seen that name on some other ads for that show, though- he may just be a participant that didn't realize there wouldn't be a show or something.
