Hi.
Does anyone know what the traffic is like around 7-8am on Friday from Irvine to San Dimas?
google map link (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Irvine+CA&daddr=Glendora+Mountain+Rd&hl=en&geocode=%3BFQwtCQIdyPT5-A&mra=ls&sll=33.89897,-117.842&sspn=0.705568,1.455688&ie=UTF8&ll=33.912594,-117.825623&spn=0.705455,1.455688&z=10)

Thanks.

I biked from Fountain Valley, near Irvine to Diamond Bar, some half of that route for 6 months with no problem. There are adequate surface roads from there on. Contact the Bicycle Club of Irvine and Bill Sellin, who works in the Irvine Rec. Department last I knew.

The 57 shouldn't be too bad - that goes against traffic. (From 5-6 PM on a Friday, that drive sucks big time.) Getting to the 57 will suck, but you probably already know that.

I need to be in San Dimas (well a bit east of it) by 8:30 am. How early should I leave, 7am?
My start time for the TT is 9:50am, so I want plenty of time to get my number and warm up.

Thanks
UD

I don't remember ever doing that drive in the morning, but I think if you leave before 7:30, you'll be fine. If you leave at 7, you'll definitely make it with time to spare.
