ok... after feeling just a tad bit better from my flu.. i finally took the time to examine my syntace C2 bar. everything looks self explaintory... however... just these two i haven't been able to figure out.

1. there are 2 long strip hole on the back of the aero bar. what is that suppose to be used for? i can't seem to figure out why they are there?

2. the syntace came with these two long plastic thingy. they look like some kind of clips... but have no clue. any ideas what they are for?

then there is a complaint... i got the computer mount with it. you would think the mount screw comes with it right? WRONG! not there... so not i gotta bring my bar to home depot to find a matching screw.

I'm not sure about the slots in the first picture, but the long plastic thingys are for your cables if you run them under the bar tape. You route your cable along the bar (I usually hold it down in a couple of places with some electrical tape). Then you put the plastic thingys over the cable (I also use a piece of electrical tape or two just to hold them in place). Then when you wrap the handlebar tape over the bar/cable/thingy sandwich it makes a nice oval cross section to the bar. If you get everything postioned properly it feels really great because where the cable goes will be under where your fingers bend around the bar.

All the slots in the thingy allows it 1)flex around the bends in the bar and 2)gives you a good place to cut it if you need it to be shorter.

Hope that helps!

thanks chuck... now that kinda make sense then. in that case the slots is for the cables... u know how some people put those Cane Creek 200TT Levers on their aero bar... then in that case they can run the cable from the inside of the tube and out from the slot. ok.. now everything makes sense now. thanks!
