Mountain Biking - Pardon the deraillieur. (Tensioner broke.)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. It's mated with a howitzer team bb. Going to try them out if I like them, I'll be getting holzfellers to replace the king earls.

I do have a feeling that I will be liking it, my ankles didn't feel as beat up on these first run in than what they usually do on the Saint's.

Dude, is it just me or do you have to have very short legs to ride that thing?

What happened to the PIMP Tora logo?

It isn't a xc bike, it's a slalom/4x/dj frame.

But don't you ride XC?;)

Where are the Saints?

Off the bike for a future project.

I removed them.

I'll trail ride it, but does a 36x14 gearing sound XC friendly?

I like your style.

I do like how the cranks feel, and I seem to have struck something with them. The only question that remains for me is durability. With how things work/holdup with me, if they hold up for the first month with me, they'll usually last awhile for me.

You'll like the holzfellers. Much better than the king earls. Like how your bike looks, reminds me of mine...lol. Have you tried a half link to get the tension right? Tensioners suck IMO, more to break. 36/14 sounds good. I ride XC on my DJ/DS rig with 38/18. Slam seat for gnarly stuff, up a little for more XC stuff.

OT: What did you use to strip your frame? I'm thinking of stripping my panic. I know its silver already, but there is a layer of black paint under the silver, and looks like crap when it gets scratched.

I'll trail ride it, but does a 36x14 gearing sound XC friendly?I'll vouch for that. My last trip to Galbraith (Bellingham) with the Blindside was a stand-and-pedal-until-I-was-pooped / get off and push / repeat affair.

What frame and chain is that?

It's a custom one-off frame, KMC SS chain. They're awesome, I have a red one on my SS roadie.
