Hi everyone. I apologize if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it.

About every other time I push forward on the pedals, the cassette will spin and everything looks OK, except it won't grab the rear wheel, even though the cassette piece is moving forward.

It worked in the late fall, and I left it indoors. It got cold, but nothing else.

I appreciate any help, thanks.

You need to tighten your freehub body. You should clean it and grease it while you're at it.

For one reason or another, the pawls that make up your actual clutch mechanism are sticking. Shimano bodies ARE serviceable (and it's far from the mechanical challenge that many seem to think) but most people prefer simply to replace them.
An intermediate step is to get a spray lubricant(wd-40 or similar) and try to flush the clutch mechanism out.
