Northern California - How's this ride?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello everyone! I just got back from school for spring break. I brought my bike back, so im looking forward to do some riding :-) I am planning on doing this ride tomorrow, since it is supposed to rain in the afternoon today:

Has anyone done a similar ride? I have heard of tunitas creek as well as old la honda, so I tried to include them in the ride. I'd like to somehow include ~4-8k more ft of elevation gain in the same distance. I don't know if that is possible!

That is a fine ride.
I don't know what you mean by 8k more elevation gain in the same distance. Are you looking for a ride with 10,000 feet of climbing in 50 miles? That is pretty hard unless you are doing just hill repeats.
Ah yes, I did a little more research and it seems like the mountains are not as high as I thought they would be, so the climbs are rather short. I think doing old la honda 2x and tunitas creek 2x will be a good ride! :-)
I just looked around and it looks like this route is very popular! If anyone is doing it on sunday or sometime during the week let me know!

If you like to climb that much, you need to meet Bostic and USPSPro on this forum. They're billy goats too.

I planned to do a ride very similar to that yesterday! instead of going on la honda, I took pescadero down, and planned to go up stage road and up tunitas creek(never been there before but I've been wanting to for a while), But once I got near the end of pescadero it was very very cold and cloudy. So, I decided to turn back around, and went up and down alpine road and page mill road.
This is the ride I ended up doing yesterday. http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/ca/palo%20alto/543123766902535815
Yesterday was the first time I did Old La Honda road, thats a great road but pretty short. There was also a little boy and his dad selling powerbars and sports drinks from their driveway on Old La Honda road, thought that was pretty cool.
The last section of Old La Honda road.

It's pretty chilly with intermittent downpours. I'm waiting to see if things clear up a bit more before heading out for a ride.
Edit: and very windy today too.

I believe that is the west side of OLH (near the petroglyph carving).

Opps... Yeah that's correct. I usually skip it and go right to W84.
