I plan on being in the downtown area of Savannah the week of April 16th-20th for a family reuinion and would like to know if the downtown area is bike friendly for sight seeing and are there any good areas that I can get in some distance rides (15 miles out and 15 back type). Really prefer bike lanes and low traffic. I ride a road bike and my daughter rides a hybrid. Thanks for any suggestions that you might offer.

Here's a link to a bunch of mapped rides.

I'd recommend the rides in the Wilmington Island area.
If you have any questions about any of the mapped rides, fell free to PM/e-mail me.

Glad to be of help.
Unfortunately, Savannah is not one of the most Bike friendly cities around. We have very few bike lanes here.
Some of those maps are excellent bike routes and some are not. As I said, if you have any question about any specific route, feel free to drop me a PM.
