As long as it's in good working condition it should be worth that. If it needs a bunch work it's not.

I'm going to check it out tomorrow. He says it shifts, brakes and rides fine, but needs new grips.

$100 is a good price if it's in decent shape. Twenties have something of a cult following, and they seem to sell for $200 - $300 if they're in reasonable condition.
