With picks like Holiday Inn Express and Waffle House, I gotta question the validity of the whole thing. Plus, they left out Lucile's in Boulder. What were they thinking?

I used to go to Walker Brothers in Wilmette, Illinois when I went to college in Evanston, Illinois. We always started our Sunday morning motorcycle rides there.

Come on down here Miss East Hill... we'll show you the Southern way to eat breakfast.
In my house, we consider gravy to be a beverage! :D

I live in Noo Joizy, land of the diners. The diner choices the article cited are a couple of the worst. To be fair, most aren't very good, but there are a few exceptions. And not all of them have lousy coffee.
A fact-finding ride is clearly in order.
check this site out for places near you.
i have found a couple of good ones to ride to on the weekends.

And they missed the grease trucks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grease_Trucks).
Lets face it the coffee sucks.

Wasn't there a guy who did a PNW tour based solely off visiting every Burgerville location?

Who needs pie when we can have eggs and sausage with hash browns and a side of toast?

And pie!
We have a local diner here that serves a wicked pecan pie. Now if you aren't familiar with a true Georgia pecan pie, it basically consists of sugar and fat with some crust under it. But theirs goes one step further.
When you order it, they put it in the microwave for a few seconds to melt a big pat of butter over the top!! I swear you can feel your arteries clogging with every bite...

Whatever you do, don't order the Skip's Scramble.
