i have a 10 speed campy chain on my bike and i want to install a removable wipperman connex chain link, i bought a park chain breaker to remove the chain, but where do i break the chain? is there a specific pin to push out? perhaps it's the one that was pushed in when the chain was mounted? or do i just choose any random pin?
thanks

I see no reason why you can't just break the chain anywhere you like.

Doesn't matter where you break it. You will actually have to break it twice at consecutive pins to remove the pair of outer plates that the wipperman connector will then replace. Obviously, the second "break" will be after the chain is removed from the bike.

It doesn't hurt to leave the HD-L joining pin in place, but if I could find it, I would remove it, since it IS the weak link in the chain.
With a Chorus or Veloce chain with solid pins, it's easy to find, since it's the only hollow pin, but with a record chain, it wouldn't look much different than the others.
