Just bought a B72 saddel for my longtail made from an 90`s Everest alu MTB. The bikes seatpost is 29,6 and it is a modern micro adjust.

I`d like to put the B72 on this bike. It is a doubie rail saddel, and it is sold with a special clamp to use with the old style straight seatpost.

I know that some time back I found somewhere on the net a flat piece that can be put between the rails and that way the saddle can be fitted on a modern micro adjust seatpost.

Icould also use a 1mm shim to take it from 28,6 to 29,6 but would prefer to avoid shims.

I`d like to buy one OR a straight alu seatpost 29,6. I`ve searched the net for days and decided to ask for help. Anyone know where to buy? I prefer UK or Europe (since not all US based shops ship to Europe).

Thank you.

That flat piece is called a "seat sandwich."

I thought so but was not sure. Anyone know where to buy? If they work well it might be the best solution since then it is easy to put it on any bike.

B72. That brings back fond memories. Oh, what a lovely saddle that is!

Let us know how it works out.
