I've got a few bikes and a bunch of wheels.
Before I start swapping everything around, I wanna know:
if I take the 2-cross wheels off my very stiff aluminum bike, and put 3-cross wheels on them, will it make much difference in comfort? In other words, is it worth doing at all?

By the way, they're all 30mm deep rims (Mavic CXP30 & Rigida DP18) -- part of the comfort problem , I know.

Why don't you try it and see for yourself? Frankly, compared with the pneumatic tire on your bike, any difference due to that much spoke angle and length is pretty small potatoes.
