So I've decided to buy a Kilo TT Pro from BD. It will be my first fixed-gear/single-speed bike and I'm having difficulty choosing a size. I'm about 5'11" / 190lbs and it seems like most riders my height are going with 55cm frames, which leads me to my first question.

In terms of the sizes posted on BD's website, when people say they fit a 55cm frame, are people going by the center-to-center or center-to-top measurement?

The second question I have has to do with standover height. Based on my inseam of 30", I should most likely be riding a 50cm than a 55cm, correct? Which size do you believe to be most accurate for my body? Thanks in advance guys. I really want this purchase to go as smoothly as possible.

When you straddle your bike, you should have around 2" between the top tube and your crotch.

ALWAYS test ride. If it's comfy, it's probably the right size for you. You'll know when you feel like you're stretched out or the other way round.

standover height isn't very important. My junk touches the top tube when my feet are on the ground but my bike is comfortable.
